A friend of mine found a link to the video of the trans woman beating up the cis guy. Honestly, it’s not as bad as I thought it was going to be. I’m a little disappointed I wasn’t more “shocked”. Why is there this double standard, this is so messed up

HUGE Trigger Warning post for anti-trans women violence

How come youtube takes down a video in less than 3 days of a trans woman beating a guy who was harassing her on the subway as a “violation of youtube’s policy on shocking and disgusting content” and yet the video of a trans woman getting beat up in a McDonald’s remains on youtube after months! Is it really so “shocking and disgusting” to seeing trans woman fucking FIGHT BACK for one instead of just being passive victims of violence. On the other hand is seeing a trans woman beat down for 5 minutes straight while people stand around and laugh as she goes into a fucking seizure not considered “shocking and disgusting” by the same standards. It would seem that they see violence against trans women as not at bad as trans women committing violence against cis men! I’m so pissed off!!! I don’t even get the chance to see one bigot get what he deserves!!!! Does anyone know where I can find a copy of it still up?!

p.s. I highly suggest that trans folks not watch the video of the McDonald’s beating, it’s extremely disturbing and will probably ruin your night. You already know that anti trans-woman violence exists and I don’t like to put too much violent stuff on this blog, but it’s important that we talk about these things.
